Hi everyone. Getting started in making my own orgone, & I'm in the materials collection phase. Even ordered some metal from Sensei the other day. I was wondering about the cost of resins. I heard that the 3m amber colored resin costs less than the Silmar 41 and others. I checked the local home depot and m3 fiberglass resin is $35or36 per gallon. Has it always been this expensive or has it gone up in price over the months/years? Thats really only cheaper than the Silmar if you count the cost of shipping it I guess... Also the 3M resin at my home depot is just 3M, & not 3M "bondo" brand. Is this an older version of the product? Is there any way to tell if a resin has expired? Hopefully before you by it..
Yep, i understand, I get that feeling when I make / look at them beauties. Put it in the freezer under water for 2-3 hours and enjoy what you see and feel. You can put it anywhere where you think it fits best. Under or next to your bed, in the bathroom, in the kitchen window sill, in the yard, on your (SMART) electricity meter, in the garage, in your car. I have them at all those places ! I am addicted to making them ........ WITH A SMILE.

They're ugly, but they'll do to put around the outside of the house/property.
I think I'll try something a little better than cut up scourers next time (might order some copper powder!) and I'll get a proper dropper and count the drops of catalyst that I pour in to minimise the heat!
Please, someone reassure me that this is common for a first pour!!
Metal powders have their own learning curve. The alumunum shavings from Sensei and Lena make great orgonite, and are easy to work with. They're fine enough to be mixed right into your catalized resin and poured out like pancake batter. The quantity ratio is easy, too. I cup of resin takes 1/2 cup of shavings.
My first pour: After watching a vid on pouring I mixed up a whole gallon of resin at once, and of course it hardened before I could get it all poured. The resin stuck like crazy to the molds, too.
Now I ALWAYS use mold release.
Measuring catalyst is easier for me if I use measuring spoons. 1/4 teaspoon = 25 drops 1/2 teaspoon = 50 drops 1 teaspoon = 100 drops Etc...
We all begin at the beginning. Congratulations on your first pour!

I must admit, I like to wallow around in it occasionally myself.
The quartz crystals come from Southern India and Central India.
The two types are quite distinct from one another.
The white quartz crystals from Southern India are more uniform in size at between 1 and 2 inches in length and have a distinctive shape.
Those from Central India are unwashed/treated or bleached. Just like they come out of the mine ! Still lightly coated with red dirt (that can be washed off), 1 to 2 inches in length with many that are under 1 inch. Well formed small crystals.

Poor woman, I'm thankful nobody I know feels it that acutely. I was thinking maybe along with gift pieces we should give out a pamphlet on emf radiation, very few realize the impacts and I have a lot of friends who are asking me for "shield" pendants once I start talking about emf and our own energetic fields.
probably the same thing as the suncarrier but know the anomaly get photoshoped. because any object that near to the sun is bound the look bright.

now, we all know what a comet is and what it should look like, the tail always come out on the opposite side of the sun. solar erosion.
in that picture the sun is in front of the viewer, so the tail should be between the viewer and the object, more or less given the object is moving fast. and i am not sure it is close enough to the sun to actually form a tail.
so that cant be called a comet. that thing is propulsed one way or another. a probe, a missile, a round ? who knows. and there is two photoshoped anomaly near its path.
at least it confirms that there is more to this place than what the corporate world want us to think.

I would put it into a glass container or jar with a lid on just in case... then you KNOW it's fine
That said I have put plenty of orgonite under fish tanks but not in them - it's such a closed environment that to me it would feel better encased. If it's a fresh piece that has not off gassed yet it might cause a problem.

Hey uberlinc,
I am so glad to hear that you have started pouring but sorry that you feel that it was a disaster - sounds more like a learning curve to me
As far as mistakes go... they unfortunately seem to be the best way to learn to pour orgonite...
You can read about it, watch videos about it and think you have it all down but until you actually do it there is a lack of understanding that you now have gained... you really should give yourself a big pat on the back for having taken the steps and gotten started.
If it makes you feel better I still make mistakes, I can't tell you how often either Sensei comes in and starts talking to me or I go talk to him while counting drops... then one of us trying to figure out "did I put the hardener in or not?"
I have poured into containers that started melting mid pour, I have had pieces permanently welded to their molds, I have had tables with curing pieces fall over, I have had countless pieces come out not looking anywhere near what I had expected but that is part of the fun and learning cause when they do come out as expected there is no better feeling... and they still work when they don't... so there is no waste...
Kudos to you for getting this far - it will only get better from now on
