After the activations of the Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse last week, we are still processing the changes we are going through. Some individuals are feeling it differently than others but each of us is being challenged and prodded to be more of our Higher Self and I AM Presence within the physical body. It is now time for us to continue working through the activations as we are being prepared for the activation of 12-12-12.
On December 3rd there was a planetary alignment of the planets of Mercury, Venus, and Saturn with the Giza Pyramid which means that it is the first activation of December creating an electro-magnetic pathway from the center of the universe to the Great Pyramid – opening a Gate that has been closed for 2,737 years. It is a very subtle energy but aligns within the planetary system to create the opening of the Christ Consciousness to be fully activated by December 21st, 2012.
This energy will take us a step closer in activating our Higher Self and I AM Presence to be more fully integrated within the physical body. This can cause more disruptions if we are not ready to receive the higher frequency, but the good part is that it is being engineered through our Higher Self/I AM Presence essence. Please know that each individual will only receive what is being programmed from their Higher Essence. This means that we need to delve deeper into our tools, work with the higher realms to receive the assistance that we need in order to feel the balance that it is necessary. We are being asked to stand amongst the first group of individuals, we call the Torch Bearers, to be a reflection of light to the Ones that will be following in our footsteps.
This is not an easy process and every individual no matter what level of initiation they are working through will be challenged deeply. The individuals that have been on the pathway longer than others are going to be put into a state of complete transformation to assist the planet. If you are one of these individuals and are being challenged physically, please know it is not a virus of this Earth; Lord Melchizdek called it a Cosmic Virus which means all of our timelines are coming together to be released and it can be very painful within the body. Then you must clear it within your emotional and mental levels for it to be fully cleared. We are fully activating our crystalline structures; it has never been done before in mass consciousness so there are no rules of how or what to do for ourselves except to connect with our Higher Essence. That is the only way that you will feel better through the process. There is a light at the end of this tunnel, and it represents our Divine Creation within the physical body.

We come to you in the presence of the Unified Whole Command under the direction of Master Thoth, The Great Divine Director, Albert Einstein, and several other important figures in the Earth’s history. Our numbers are growing into Wholeness from Ascended Beings from many planetary forms of life that are choosing to come into Oneness under the direction of the Command. It is an exciting time for all of us as we are coming together just as the human race is awakening at this very time.
This week is a very important one to fully be in your Power as the challenges will become greater as the days pass by into December 21st, 2012. Today, on December 3rd there was the first planetary alignment of the Giza Activation within the planets of Mercury, Venus, and Saturn. This means that the pyramids around the globe are now in full alignment of electro-magnetic energies to allow the entryway of the Orion Constellation within Planet Earth. This frequency is the first of the physical activations to occur which is very subtle. Many individuals would not sense any electro-magnetic charges within themselves except to allow the balance of the Masculine and Feminine divine to be fully incorporated.
With the Lunar Eclipse and the Full Moon on November 28th individuals are being asked to fully step into their power by acknowledging the old parts of themselves that do not fit the present circumstances. This may seem like it is happening very quickly, but in truth, the planetary alignments are allowing for the transference of the energies to be integrated within each individual as their Higher Self and I AM Presence is directing the energies. What you are experiencing within yourself individually, is not what every person is presently feeling. It is different depending upon your pathway of initiation, what your pathway means, where you are on this pathway, and if you are ready to step into leadership roles. You have been preparing all year for these events to unfold within your lives, and now is not the time to be shy about you are experiencing or where it is taking you in future moments.
Every person upon the planet in these moments is being challenged. We will tell you that the Ones that are stepping forward are going to be accelerating through a transformative process that is unmatched to anything else that they or anyone else has experienced. The Lunar Eclipse allowed for the darkness to arise which could be in the physical, emotional, or mental bodies. Now this is being activated through the Etheric Body as it represents the old timelines in which you may have been extremely ill, possibly did not survive, or your were mentally or emotionally challenged. It has been a time when you are seeing yourself in a different light, accessing the old remembrances or flashes through dreams or meditations, and then it feels like you are right there again. But yet, you are within this body you inhabited in this lifetime. There could be moments of recall but yet you know what to do for yourself. And if you don’t, then it is imperative to listen to others who may be able to assist you. Once you walk through the Dark Night of Your Soul in which you feel everything is falling apart, but yet you realize that is not your reality; YOU AWAKEN UNTO YOURSELF.
So now you go back and use some of your old tools; pull out a meditation that helped you a long time ago, speak to a friend who may be going through the same symptoms, and utilize the frequencies of Light to assist you in walking beyond the reality that is encasing you. It is important to realize that when these elements appear, holes can result in your aura. Ask for each of us to help you in your dream state if you don’t have a good meditation or a person to assist you. The power of vibration is the healing way of the world presently. Just allow yourself to fully meld within the creation of your I AM Presence, feeling this essence to be your essence completely within your body, your heart and your mind. Then, and only then, can you fully accept your Light Body.
The levels that each individual is experiencing are different. None are two the same; and as we explained earlier, it depends upon your mastery skills and learning the process of a healthy psychology soul. These challenges that are happening presently are not about you as the Mind or Emotions. It is about your Soul and how he/she has held onto the many levels of pain and lower energies. It is seeping through your aura form the Etheric Body to be fully transformed by the Light of God that You Are.
So continue with your processing through this week. It is taking you into deeper levels of yourself to fully accept your Divine Essence within the physical creation that You Are. If you are feeling good and have no qualms about anything in your life, be prepared as it is coming. Every individual will feel that a part of them is dying, because it is a necessary process. We are in the phase of acceleration when an individual must realize that they cannot exist in the same manner. This is a deep movement that will be happening within each individual. The more people that realize the process now before 12-12-12 and 12-21-12, then the more prepared they will be.
It is a beautiful time and we are all coming into the Creation of Oneness. If you think about our beginnings together, that is what we want to experience. It is all the moments in between that we have to take care of to either remove or embrace. Call upon your Higher Self along with your I AM Presence to assist you. Work with your own highest essence before you sleep and when you awaken. You will thank yourself that you have done so. And by the way, so will we. The more that arrives now, the more that we can help along the way.

CONNECTING TO THE LIGHT GRID
Greetings. We are the High Council of Orion. Once again we come to you with a message that is always more than just a message. We want you to understand this about each and every one of our transmissions. For we are sharing words, we’re sharing ideas, and yet, at the same time, as we’ve said in previous messages, there is always an energy exchange that is happening within the course of your connection with our words. The energetic connection is made whether it's heard through the ears, as you listen to the recording, or read with the eyes, or heard because somebody else has read it to you, or even as you might watch it through the sign language interpretation. Whatever way information comes to you there will always be an energetic transmission that will allow you to shift and change. Some of you will understand that there has been a shift. Some of you may not perceive it. Yet there will always be an energetic shifting; a loosening of the grid around you, within you that allows an easier flow of information.
Tonight we’d like to talk about light grids. Many of you are familiar with the idea of the Ley lines within the planet being an energetic system, a circulatory system if you will, of energy that supports the life of the planet and consequently supports all life within and on and around the planet. It's a beautiful grid of light that pulses and breathes and lives and allows life to be sustained on that beautiful blue-green planet.
Above your planet there is an energetic grid system as well. Around the energy body, if you will, of the planet. Many of our transmissions are received by that grid in the space, if you will, beyond your planet, above your planet, surrounding your planet. They meet the grid there and our information is distributed out throughout this grid that surrounds your planet. There are many beings on your planet at this time, in both the human and animal realm, who are here assisting the dissemination of the information that we are sending down that is meeting your external grid, the one that’s off the planet and then bringing that information down onto the planet. When we say “in the animal kingdom” that we have helpers, we mean that there are beings on the land and in the ocean who are assisting us. For as many of you know, it's not just the human beings who are evolved on the planet. Many of your great beings on your planet are within the animal kingdom. For those of you who are animal communicators you know what we mean. You know the wisdom and the intelligence and the guidance that can be brought forth from some of the great beings in the animal kingdom on the planet at this time.
So why do we share this message with you this day? Because today we want to just shift your awareness. If your awareness has not included this concept that there is an energy grid surrounding your planet that is here in support: to support and nurture and sustain life, then it's good to know that. For those of you who are hearing the messages from the star system Orion are those who have the ability to connect into and receive information from and work with us.
Many of you are lightworkers who are actively engaged in healing and transformational work, not just for oneself, but for the humans and the animal kingdom and the planetary body to uplift, support, move forward in this time of transition. So you are the ones who have this potential to connect into this grid and assist the download, if you will, of information from the High Council of Orion. As we’ve said before, you can receive our messages outside of the channelings by asking. Coming to that quiet space in your heart, allowing your otherworldly concerns to fall away, and literally imagine yourself, through your crown chakra, energy flowing from your heart, up through your crown chakra to connect into that grid.
See and feel and know our energetic transmissions that are infusing the grid, keeping it whole, strong, and our interconnection along that grid, allows the light within the grid, which contains the energy, which contains vast amounts of information, to flow freely. Some will be working with us to keep the grid healthy and strong; even repair places, junctures, that are not of the greatest integrity in terms of their connection. As you shift your awareness to the knowingness that we are here infusing greater levels of light energy into this external grid, as your awareness shifts, you have the ability to connect with it. As you do that knowledge in information can be brought down into your conscious awareness, sometimes your unconscious awareness, but it allows you to infuse more of these energies that are here in support of humanitarian evolution and ascension and transformation at this time.
As you connect with us, and as you connect with the planet by walking on the planet, interacting with the people who you see every day; connecting with family, friends; and as you connect with all those around you: whether they're strangers or loved ones, from the place of the heart you are sharing that energy transmission. It takes no effort. It takes not even any conscious thought necessarily. All it takes is for you to be choosing to anchor your awareness in your heart. To see the world through the eyes of your heart; hear the word world through the ears of your heart; smell and taste and touch the world through your heart; and as you do so you will be sharing greater levels of light that will ease the pathway for many in ways that you cannot even understand. We ask you not to underestimate the power of a kind word, a caring glance, the smile, and the caring touch as many ways of altering the energetic body of anyone you come in contact with. We ask you not to underestimate the power of taking a moment and breathing and dropping into your heart and feeling that space before you respond, especially if it's in an emotional or heated situation. As you take a moment to tune into your heart perhaps you feel the shift in your words, or in your level of stress or excitement or upset. As you connect with that ease, you energetically transform situations.
You are great and powerful beings of light and that is how we see you. And we endeavor to share messages with you, to help you connect more easily to that great being of light and love who you are at your core.
Presuming it is true that the universe was created at the moment of the big bang you were created in this instant but yet unborn. It has taken many billions of years to unfold for you exist and the odds that we've run into each other and share even a flicker of a connection is a miracle that was born at the birth of the universe.
An interesting fact is that nearly every heavy element in nature was created in the center of a star that has gone Super Nova. It requires a star much more massive than ours and it is rare but they do happen. When they do the star becomes unstable and implodes at the speed of light creating unimaginable forces and is what is required to create most of the elements that make up everything in our world as we know it. During this epic implosion the star is also outshines all of the stars in its galaxy combined. Whatever super nova that created the matter we are from blew billions of years ago. So, not only do we live on a piece of start dust but we are 'made' of star dust. We are literally children of the stars! Another amazing thing that you may not be aware of is that science has confirmed that every bit of matter actually emits a small degree of light. It is outside our visual perspective but it does exist. So science has confirmed that we are not only children of the light but we literally radiate light.
Since it requires so much energy to create matter there is a vast amount of energy that is trapped within it. When you burn something the power released is a representation of a chemical break down and clearly produces a great deal of energy. However, this is nothing compared to the power that exists within a single atom of matter is split we've seen the epic power that can be unleashed through atomic bombs or atomic energy. What is even more amazing is that this is still only a small fraction of the power that is trapped within a single atom. If we unleashed the pure energy trapped within an atom the power would be truly awe inspiring. Rest assured it would take anti-matter to unleash this type of power which cannot exist naturally in our physical world and it took super massive imploding star, at the speed of light, to create it in the first place so to release it would not be easy. To give you a representation of the power that is expected is on the scale of a gallon of water has the potential to give the earth all of its power needs for a 100 years! (Imagine how much power literally exists within you)
We tend to view ourselves as some how apart, or disconnected, from the universe but how could that be? How could it be that we are anything but fundamentally a part of the universe that we are made up of? Imagine the vast and pure power of what is within you and you may see how much we've only touched the surface of what we can achieve. Imagine if we could harness even a fraction of that power through the power of our consciousness? It is not nearly as crazy as it sounds since science has eluded to some concepts that suggest we have a deeper connection to reality then we ever understood.
Not only are we made up of the 'stuff' of the universe we have a very unique gift that we give back to the universe. Through our experiences and self-awareness we give the universe a window into experiencing itself! Think about this for a moment. If there was no consciousness in the universe what would it be? Light would be simply a quantum effect and would light up 'nothing' and would simply be energy. Nothing would have a smell, there would be no sound and so on because much of those are subjective and only have meaning when we given them a meaning. Color is an illusion and does not exist outside of the mind! Instead of the universe giving us a meaning to our lives I suggest that 'we' give the universe meaning through the expression of our consciousness and life... all life.
Science has shown us that matter is actually 99.99% empty space and the deeper down the rabbit hole of quantum physics we go the more clear it is that there is nothing actually there but a tapestry entanglement of impossibly small vibrating strings! So it is not a 'thing' but a sea of vibration is the best guess science has for what the universe is made from.
Science also has famous experiment called the double slit experiment that matter is both a particle and a wave with the only things that transforms one to the other is an observer. Until something is observed it exists within a state that is exists everywhere and no where at the same time. Once it is observed it collapse the wave function into a fixed particle. This is NOT science fiction but how our reality is made and one of the greatest mysteries of science. It defies reason that our simple act of observation could have any influence on the material world but there is empirical evidence that we do have influence. I'f I've not lost you in my very summarized explanation, and perhaps articulated this in an effective way, this has HUGE implications of which science will not touch but we can. Now, keeping this in mind, imagine someone alive but who has had no outside senses ever in their life and thus nothing to influence their pure experience. They would be like an endless newborn and would have consciousness, presumably, but what would they experience? What would they create with their mind and how 'real' would it be? Wouldn't they be a god in their own universe and manifest 'anything' they could imagine. Without being conditioned to believe in boundaries what would their boundless dreams be like? What would their consciousness be like and would they have self-awareness? What if this person found some way at some point to create a self-awareness that would help them explore their own situation and existence. They would not know how they got there but perhaps through the eyes of another something would have meaning and definition that otherwise would not exist. Being boundless what if you were able to create billions, trillions of living things so that you can learn more about yourself?
Now imagine that person suddenly was awakened within a physical form that had all of this new, but limited, sensory information flooding in. Unlikely they would feel comfortable since there would be so much less to experience then the boundless world of imagination but once they got familiar they would learn to adapt, perhaps it took years to adapt and grow but they would. They then would be able to experience a piece of themselves through a perspective they could not have done otherwise.
We all have a sense of 'I' but I often wonder if the sense of 'I' that I have and your sense of 'I' are the same. If you lived my life, thought my thoughts, grew in my body would you be 'you' or would 'you' be me? I contend that the saying that "If I was so and so... I would do whatever" is foolish because if you were actually them you would do 'exactly' as they did otherwise you would not be them.
We are many things but one thing that is for sure we are much more then what we think we are and can experience directly. If only, we could pause to take a breath and experience the pure present moment we might realize a glimpse of our true self. I think the most amazing thing is that we are living day to day experiencing this totally amazing thing but yet totally blind to it.
Filled with hundreds of arrows and hundreds of doubts, the mighty warrior Bhishmadeva took one last moment to observe the horrors of material life.
Surrounded by the Lord and by a wide variety of sages and fellow warriors, Bhishmadeva received the respect of the mercy of the demigods.
Meekly greeting everyone who came to see him depart from this world, Bhishmadeva began to openly worship the Lord of the Heart with his transcendental tongue.
Directly perceiving the form of Sri Krishna as he layed on the ground, Bhishmadeva remarked on the tragedies that naturally comes to all souls in maya's abode.
Just as clouds are controlled by the winds of Your mouth, I, and everyone that I know and don't know, will be swept away by the all-pervasive influences of time.
Given that You are incomprehensible to my pacified heart, Your plans and strategies for salvation can never be grasped even by the most brilliant of intellects.
O Dearest of Lords, I declare my lamentable situation to be completely part of Your Universal Plan. May You thus rule over my destiny as You rule over Your planets.
Why do You, Sri Krishna, walk among us who are fit for death's cradle?
Falsely believing that You were just a well wisher and a messenger of the Supreme, may I be equipoised by the knowledge that You are equally kind to everyone without a trace of separateness.
Though You are the Friend of All, for some reason You have kindly appeared before me as I am about to die.
I beg of You now, o Mukunda, whose eyes are as shining as the sun and moon, to smile Your most mesmerizing of smiles so that I can continue to remember Your pastimes with me.
Following the sun as it crossed the northern hemisphere, Bhishmadeva, silencing himself, fixed his soul's gaze on the compassion streaked eyes of Sri Krishna, who was now glittering like the stars of infinite paradises.
Purely contemplating the Lord's mysterious eyes, Bhishmadeva prayed to the Absolute Truth in order to make a successful transition from the material plane of consciousness to the loving paradise of Krishna Loka.
Spending so much time on the rewards of various occupational duties, may I now only know of the existence of Sri Krishna's Pure Lotus Feet.
As the Source of every pleasure, may You now become my only pathway to Supreme Bliss.
Realizing the subtle and sublime beauty of Your bluish body and yellow garments, may I become the sandalwood pulp which decorates Your lovely forehead.
I thereby humbly aspire to concentrate my heart and mind on He who has delivered all of the pious and impious souls while fighting on the battle fields of Kurukshetra.
I thereby humbly aspire to unfold my heart for He who's bodily movements and lusters attracts even the most shy and intimidating of the Gopis of Vrindavana.
Cleared of my misgivings, and having transcended the illusion of the Lord not being in certain individuals because of certain unauthorized qualities, Your sun like smile brings me back home to where I naturally belong.
Merged with Sri Krishna's propensity for devotional service, Bhishmadeva departed from his body under the most auspicious of occasions.
Buried under an ocean of celestial flowers, the sages and demigods celebrated the passing of Bhishmadeva by holding both Bhishmadeva and Sri Krishna closely in their hearts.

Something that has always fascinated me is if enlightenment/awakening exists? In my exploration of these states of being I've come to the conclusion that it is far more likely to exist than not and in many ways almost 'has' to exist. The details of this conclusion is best for another blog but in a vast summary there is so much to reality that we do not and cannot experience that there must be far more that we can experience that exist beyond the limitations of our senses, ego and language. It does not take you to become enlightened to transform your life but there are many mini awakenings along the way that can and will inspire you in ways you cannot currently imagine until it happens. No one has ever awakened from the illusions of reality and the dream state of consciousness that we live in by doing the same thing they've always done and with that once more a great first step to break free from the illusions of reality is to question your thoughts, biases, expectations, assumption, presumptions and everything of such nature.
Never in our lives have we directly experienced the past, nor touched the future, yet we spend so much time dwelling on both without ever finding happiness in the present. That being said, we strive and fight to manifest our desires yet tend to get exactly what we've always gotten and get what we expect. Why is this? Why do we carry the baggage of our past like it has value and wait for 'someday' to come along but 'someday' is not on the calender and nothing will happen until 'someday' becomes 'today'.
The only time that exists is ‘now’ and the only time anything will change is in that ‘now’. So you can manifest your reality 'now' or some other version of 'now'. Part of the problem is that our society, culture and ego constantly lures us into complacency and intoxicates us with what we could have some day. It colors our deepest ambitions and inspirations and in the process everything get lost in a sea of materialistic and superficial desires. We are, from birth, conditioned that instant gratification is the best path to happiness and yet we remain collectively unhappy. How did we get so fooled?
This doesn't make any sense and as the common saying goes the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Yet every day when we wake up and are afforded the unique opportunity to redo, undo and refine our reality anyway that we CHOOSE. Yet we choose to create the same reality we've always had and thus get what we always have gotten but cry that nothing changes. If something does change we also fear and resist it with what is many times irrational passion. One must wonder if we ever woke up to our true power not only would we create a personal revolution but likely create a revolution in our world that we all so passionately need.
The most powerful tool for transformation, that I've encountered, to break free from the myths and conditioning that has bound us is through the fire of the simple art of asking unfiltered and deep questions. Would you take me up on it if I dare you to explore your assumptions, presumptions, expectations even if you believe you already have all of your answers? Actually, if you believe you have your answers in life it is not only important to ask more but is critical if you desire to transform your world and perhaps the rest of it along the way. Do you really have the courage to manifest a different reality? Are you sure? What price are you willing to pay for that transformation? What if the price is everything?
In many ways the 'you' that you believe you are is the collection of all of the thoughts and emotions that you've had throughout your life. Perhaps it would then be wise to become aware and care for the nature of the thoughts that you are having and infuse them with empowerment at every opportunity. Imagine that if you consistently think negative thoughts it will manifest more negative thoughts since again our thoughts do manifest the reality we live within. We all know people who are very negative and bad things seem to be drawn to them. If you don't know anyone who is like that then perhaps 'you' are that person. Seriously, change the flow of your thoughts and in time you will change but with power comes responsibility.
Our limitations are often limited by only what we want to 'believe' is possible and to break free of where you are now it is critical that you 'believe' whatever you desire is actually possible. See it in your mind… don’t worry about the details… just believe you can be and do what you want… who can seriously tell you that you cannot… expand your mind… walk with no fear and tear down all walls of illusion.

Awareness will come, witnessing will come, but you are not to do it. When you do it, you miss the whole point of it, because when you do witnessing it becomes more like attention than witnessing. And there is a lot of difference.
Attention is tension; the very word is made of tension. Attention means tension in a certain direction.
Witnessing is a non-tense state. You cannot do it. It happens, it happens while you are doing something else but doing it so totally that it comes. It is a guest: you can only invite it but you cannot pull it. You can wait for it, you can keep the door open. And to keep the door open, the only way is to get involved in things totally. Because of this attention, you cannot get involved totally.
Mm? you are always standing aloof, trying hard. That trying hard is your undoing, so relax.
... It will happen. You just have to remember it now, mm? It has become a pattern; it will take a few days to break.
Do the meditations as fun, like a small child – not like a grown-up person. Grown-up people are very dangerous people. They have not really become grown-up – they are simply tense, and they think that tension is their grown-up-ness. Deep down they have not grown, because through tension there is no growth; it is the only block.
... Do the meditations, but do them more as a play, not as a great work and great religious thing – that you are going to attain to god and nirvana and enlightenment... all rubbish!
... If you go to the meditations, go only to enjoy! If you feel that if you want to enjoy yourself you will not go, don’t go – go running, but be relaxed.
For these days that you are here you have to be utterly relaxed. Do things that you like and don’t do things that you don’t like. For your whole life you have been doing things that you don’t like and you have been avoiding doing things that you really like. That is your whole pattern.
That has to be broken now, you have to come out of this vicious circle.
Everything is possible – just your tension has to go. It is like a hard crust around you, otherwise you are very soft inside. Once this hard crust is broken and dissolved, the softness will start flowing. And there is not much trouble – just a small understanding. You are capable of it, so don’t be worried.
Here, from tomorrow morning do only things that you like and enjoy. And even if in the middle of the meditation you feel that now you are not enjoying, walk out, mm? I give you total freedom.
I try to fill my world with inspirational sayings, positive thoughts, good vibes. But it wasn't until a few months ago, that I reaized something very important. If you don't love yourself...all the positive and inspirational things don't really mean anything. So, now....I'm embarking on my own personal love affair. I tell myself "I love you", a couple of times a day. I know it may sound silly, but when I take the time to acknowledge my feelings and well being...it becomes very uplifting. I take the time to evaluate my emotional state, and pamper myself when the need arises. When I come across the possibility of a romantic relationship, I always ask myself if they will be able to love me as much as I love myself. I even look to see if they love theirself as well. Life has so many ups and downs, twists and turns. It's great to have those few friends that you can rely on...but at the end of the day....the main person you have to be straight with is you. I love my son, I love my pets, I love my life....and now...I love me.
Occasionally I'll be inspired to write someone about Christianity. It is not my intention to create a uproar, as seems to always happen, but rather just to inspire a discussion. To everyone who may read this I do respect your beliefs, and religion, and if I ruffle your feathers per say lets talk but lets do so with mutual respect.
While I've moved on, from Christianity, a long time ago I have grown up in the Christian culture, still celebrate Christmas (however likely in a different way then what is traditional) and do respect the religion but to be very honest am still not sure how I feel about many of the followers. The history, mythology, some teachings and the Gnostic texts interest me a and thus there will be some blogs that I will write to express my thoughts.
Usually, I try to avoid discussing anything about Christianity, and the sea of questions and thoughts that surround it, since so many people tend to be so sensitive and irrational about this subject. While I am not a Christian, nor could be anymore, I should make it clear that I have not 'rejected' Christianity nor have I 'run away' from it in anyway. I'm not confused and need a little guidance and I'll be back into the faith. No... rather I've looked into Christianity deeply, been saved and baptized, and have been rather well versed about many of its key concepts, lessons, history and more. Within that search I've found it best, for me, to move on and since then I've very happily not looked back. So, if you read this and feel that you can 'save' me or 'convert' me in some way I assure you that your time would be better spent elsewhere but also you may find yourself far more challenged (respectfully) then you are prepared for. So, I'm sharing my thoughts and however you feel I encourage you to express yourself but please I ask that again we communicate respectfully and rationally.
While I do believe there is likely a universal creative energy, and consciousness of some kind, in no way do I accept the biblical version of that energy. I also feel that Jesus was a master teacher but, even more importantly, was a human being with all of the flaws that go along with being human. Upon in-depth review I have not been able to rationalize the wide range of inconsistencies, impossibilities and what may be surprising to many some very questionable ethical and moral issues that I cannot put my head in the sand and ignore. While for many I know these words would be blasphemous but if God does exist he has a lot to explain and I have 'no' fear in asking for answers.
From a multitude of sources, I've been highly questioned by less than overly open minded people and learned a lot in the process but likely not what the various people had intended. I'm actually exceptionally open minded but faith and passion for your faith may help you hold on to your beliefs but I require much more and suggest that you demand more for yourself with the same degree of passion. These discussions have been very enlightening with one interesting realization that many Christians really do not understand the concept that anyone could simply 'not' be Christian. They tend to only believe that you are misguided and if you once were a Christian they can then answer a few questions and you'll come back. More so, many people try and relate by saying that I've been "where you are" but now "know" the truth when in reality there is no question they have never been "where" I am at. Honestly, and I do mean this, I am not troubled by anyone's beliefs since for me they are all the same, but only have a trouble when people attempt to 'impose' their beliefs upon myself (or others) particularly when I know more about their religion then they do.
Many times it is considered spiritually incorrect to challenge a person about what they believe and if someone is happy with their belief system it should be taboo to trouble them but this goes both ways. You cannot try and impose your beliefs upon me and 'not' expect that I will challenge you and share mine with you in the process. What I've also found is that Christians, in particular, will again use their passion and faith as 'proof' of their beliefs. This may work for other Christians but NOT for people looking from the outside in. Another common expression to questions and challenges is that are un-answerable are comments such as "God works in mysterious ways"... which is a royal cop-out.
The king of the dodges though for me is the all too common expression from whomever is that they will need to consult their Priest or Pasture to find out what they believe. I must say this one troubles me the most since if you have to consult someone else to know what you believe you should really ponder your requirements for a belief that you stand beside. How can you believe something and not 'know' what it is and then have to consult someone else to tell you where you stand?
Lastly, on this topic, the other thing I've found, and am a bit shocked by, is how many people have never read the bible yet consider themselves fundamental Christian. If you believe that the bible is the 'word' of God how can you then not bother to take the time to read, in depth, the bible? Even if you have read the bible and you've not question some of the impossibilities, inconsistencies and morally questionable acts I am not sure you are understanding what you are reading.
On another note, to me the worst thing that ever happened to Christianity is the chapter and verse part of the bible. This has allowed people to take various versus, totally out of context, and mix them to mean whatever they want it to mean. I could do the same with a Harry Potter book. If the chapter and verse was 'not' numbered it would force people to read the entire 'book' story and seek understanding that is in context which seems to be very rare now a days.
So, going into one particular topic the beginning always seems like the right place to start.
Most people reading this will be familiar with the story of Adam and Eve and the Tree of Knowledge. I've always found it rather interesting that why any knowledge would be, or could be, forbidden. No knowledge is bad knowledge but rather the only difference is what people 'do' with that knowledge.
If we presume the biblical God is all powerful and omnipotent, as is commonly represented, then God 'knew' before he told Adam and Eve not to eat the apple that they would take the apple anyway. Yet, when they later did eat from the Tree of Knowledge God then 'punished' them, and their descendants, for all of eternity. What is more odd is that if Adam and Eve saw God as their father, which would seem appropriate, and they had no concept of punishment nor what that would mean why would they fear God and obey without question. What child doesn't question their parents?
You could use an example of human child but since I do not have them the next best thing for me to relate to are my dogs that I love dearly. Regardless, of how much I may train them I am fairly confident that it would not be wise to put a steak in front of them, tell them to DO NOT TOUCH THIS, then leave the room and expect it to be there when I get back. I'm far from God but even I know better then doing this and expecting all to be fine when I return. As much as they know they are bad the also know that I won't kill them and weigh the risk versus reward.
Now imagine that I set them up in this way an then when I did come back into the room I not only severely punished them but punished all of the puppies that they have and the puppies have and so on forever. How DARE they not know and respect me and I will smite them. How absurd does this sound? However, this is basically what God did with Adam and Eve and if some how this story is actually more then the stolen mythology that is rooted back into ancient Sumeria I think it creates some serious philosophical and spiritual challenges. If God really was this irrationally insensitive about an apple and a tree one must also wonder what what is that was so secret and so taboo that such passionate rage would then follow.
You can say that this was "GODS" command and to violate such a command is the cause but how many other things have happened since then that are vastly worse and people have been punished far less. Also, again keep in mind that Adam and Eve were basically children and knew nothing of 'bad' before this and that God was just Dad. They had no reason to fear such punishment nor understood the consequences. Think of your own children (or pets) and compare the situation and perhaps this whole issue will have some clarity.
Wouldn't you have more compassion and forgiveness than God and what does this mean?
