A long time ago in my home. My mom divorced my dad. I was only 6 years old. We only had two bedrooms. My 3 sisters slept in one and me and my mom on the other. We were very poor on christmas, my mom was a teacher and was supporting us four. I usually got nice gifts but never really what I wanted. The cool star wars toys like the falcon, the death star, the AT AT or at least a cool ewok village playset. My father used to come to see my mom and just give her piss poor money. One christmas season I asked my dad to buy me a rebel snowspeeder, this is my favorite star wars toy. He came back and did get me a snowspeeder, a used one from a swap meet. It had no cockpit, no guns and no sidelids. I was sad and dissaponted and I always hated my dad after that. Kinda glad he gone away. And since then I made it my life goal to buy every star wars toy and ship I could have. You could say I was traumatized that day. Now in my apartment, i have a snowspeeder, brand new loose on my coffee table. And 3 of them sealed in boxes. My mother could never afford to buy me the Millenium falcon or one of the high end toys. Just the single action figures like luke or han. Ive spent all my childhood playing at other friends houses with their toys. You have to understand that the whole neighbor hood of kids were playing star wars day and night outside on parks and yards and schools. Its what you did. I played with star wars toys from 6 years old to 15 years old. It was the most exciting time of my life and durinf christmas thats all I ever wanted. The divorce and the lack of star wars toys messed me pretty bad. i've opened up to you guys in hopes that you understand why I am who I am today. This is the reason I hate this season and cant stand the happy kids that get everything today. This is why I drink, why I spend all my money on star wars stuff and why I was angry at my father and glad he died. And this is also the reason I have no kids because I dont want them to go thru the same thing. I hope you all get me a little better now. Lee Howett snapped after a passenger waiting at Basildon rail station, Essex, abused him over his sexuality during a series of skirmishes. The 26-year-old then took a pair of hairdressing scissors from his bag and stabbed him close to his right shoulder blade. Judge David Owen Jones told him: 'People who use scissors as a weapon in a public place to stab somebody must face imprisonment.' Howett, of Stanford-le-Hope, Essex, was in an emotional state after confronting an ex-partner, Basildon Crown Court heard. He lashed out at a man who was with a group of people enjoying a night out, the court heard. Howett had been drinking heavily and was sitting on a bench waiting for a train to arrive at Basildon station when a group of three men carrying pints of beer joined the platform at around 11.15pm on Sunday, June 24. The trio had been celebrating after one of them found out he was set to become a father for the first time. But Howett became annoyed with their rowdy behaviour and shouted at them to shut up. 'Howett has been subjected to homophobic abuse since his school days. He has been an openly gay man since his teenage years. 'He would normally get up and walk away and had never confronted anybody before, but whatever had taken place previously was the catalyst and he reacted extremely badly.' Following the attack Howett waited at the train station for police to arrive and made a full admission. He pleaded guilty to one count of wounding with intent. Judge David Owen Jones sentenced Howett to two and half years in prison. Addressing Howett, he said: 'It may be and I accept it probably was the case that one of the young men made a homophobic comment towards you. We had a couple of strange fires like that this summer in Lubbock. One was a transfer station and several transformer/power line fires. We never got much of an explanation.
