Finding myself

Throughout life I have been confused as to what religion was. Being from a broken family, it was hard to beleive in most religion. I started a family of my own and i didn't want my childen to ask me what i beleived in..i wouldn't have been able to anwser that. So when i had started to read about "new age", things became more clear to me- started to make sense. I knew where i would belong.
I found this website through facebook. I am new to this new age and was wanting to learn more. If those would be so kind as to add me as a friend, I would LOVE to have these conversations! Direct me to some websites as well if you would not mind.

“Your life is your spiritual path.
It's what's right in front of you. You can't live anyone else's life. The task is to live yours and stop trying to copy one you think looks better.”

Meditation...Taming the Mind

Meditation: "When one begins to hear Shabd [the inner Sound Current], one's mind is brought under control. By no other means will it come round." (Soami Ji Maharaj, Sar Bachan Poetry, Book One)

Republic Of Plato - Justice As Unmotivated

Meeting with Socrates again,
the master decided to define justice
as acting in a similar manner as those who act upon you.

Not doubting what you say, good friend,
how does this principle apply to the dualism of friend and enemy.

I am glad you asked that Socrates,
for arriving at a conclusive answer is done so through debate and logic.

Whether a man is your friend or your enemy,
you ought to treat them as fairly as they treat you.

Interjecting, Socrates wants to expose the real position
of this master.

Let us say that we were a physician.
Being a physician, we would naturally give
the appropriate medicine to our patients.
Without being too complicated,
as a physician of the soul,
what do you do or give to someone
who is not on friendly terms with you.

Well, I would give him his due by
making him regret conspiring against me.

What you are trying to say, good friend,
is that to be just is to be good and loving to your friends
and hateful towards your enemies.

Of what use is justice to the peace maker?
Your version of justice is good for those who like
to engage in one personality battle after another;
but for those are beyond violence and retribution,
how can justice serve them?

Being more monetarily minded,
I have never had to think of justice in such a way.

Perhaps you can elaborate on this new found level of justice for me Socrates.
Stay centered with me now, good friend,
for what is just is always just for everyone in every situation.

Those who are justice personified are greatly offended
by the relativity being given to justice.

If justice is to be known by the just and unjust alike,
the just must set the example by being good to
those who are peaceful and to those who are seeking trouble.

How can a man be called just
if he is just only to certain people
who personally please him?
Certainly that is how the unjust are.

Being unmotivated in who you administer justice to
is the real duty of every free citizen;
for in unmotivated justice is unmotivated mercy
and in unmotivated mercy is unmotivated love.

The real proponent of justice is therefore a peacemaker
and resolver of conflicts.
You may want to punish those who punish you,
but that often results in more punishments for everyone involved.
If you call yourself just, good friend,
be a good friend to everyone even if no one
is interested in being your friend.
This is the virtue of justice in its essence.

5 Exercises to Find Happiness:

Is striking a work-life balance taking a toll on you? Do you find yourself feeling grumpy at the end of everyday? Simply try out a few exercises that will put you in a great mood. Here are some exercises that will help you find happiness.

Make a splash: When was the last time you jumped into a pool and had a good time splashing around? Swimming is one of the healthiest workouts. It burns up to 300 calories every hour. “It stretches your body and tones the muscles. It is especially good for people with asthma,” says Althea Shah, fitness trainer at Gold's Gym. If you are going to the pool with your friends, take a water ball and play with it.

Dance like there’s no tomorrow: Look your hottest and head to a party to dance the night away. If clubs aren’t your thing, what’s stopping you from pumping up the volume, wearing some funky clothes and dancing away to glory in front of your mirror! You can learn a particular type of dance form and use it for a workout. Salsa is a popular favourite. Take a partner along and just the intimacy will lift your mood.

The thrill of adventure: There’s nothing to beat the adrenalin rush adventure sports can give you; bungee jumping into deep gorges of green mountains, paragliding in the clouds, rafting through rough waters, skiing down endless slopes of white snow – the choices are plenty. Shah recommends rock climbing. It uses a lot of your muscles and energy. This activity works on the legs, arms and stomach, and tones them. It can even be done indoors at a gym.

Walk: Haven’t we all gone for a walk every time we needed to clear our minds and feel relaxed? Walking is another workout that will put you in a better mood. Simply plug in some music and step out for a walk. Let your mind go. Take deep breaths as you walk. Choose a time like early morning for your walk to avoid polluted air. Walking works on your legs and rear and will tone your core too. It is also a great form of cardio.

Skip a little: “Skipping can really make you sweat and works on your whole body. Start slowly and do at least 100 skips with breaks in between,” says Shah. Once you get used to it, the sky’s the limit. If you already enjoy some other kind of exercise, go for it. “Working out releases endorphins in your body. These are feel-good hormones.

Now the secret is out – if you are feeling ‘fat’, just work those inactive muscles and kickstart the happy hormone!

Top 10 Vegitables for Healthy Diet:

Vegetables are a healthy part of any diet. Whether you're interested in sculpting your body, or just want to tone it that extra bit, vegetables help in improving your overall health by maximizing your weight loss efforts. It is said that just eating 8-9 servings of vegetables in a day, you can improve your body's immunity against diseases such as diabetes, cancer and heart ailments. But which vegetables are better disease-fighters than others? Here are top 10 vegetables for a healthy diet, that definitely set the ball rolling.

Tomatoes. Technically called a fruit, tomatoes are mostly eaten as a well-liked vegetable. Tomatoes have lycopene and red orbs which are well known for their cancer-defending properties. They are full of Vitamin A and Vitamin K which help in keeping your blood pressure levels under control.
Broccoli. When one talks about vegetables which can fight diseases effectively, broccoli ranks amongst the highest. They are a storehouse of antioxidants which help in fighting rectal, lungs and stomach cancers. They are also rich in folate, Vitamin C and beta-carotene which help in boosting your immunity to fight against colds and flus.
Brussels Sprouts. Excellent for pregnant women, these little veggies are full of B-vitamin and folic acid which keeps women away from uteral tube defects. They are also quite rich in omega 3 fatty acids, potassium, fiber and Vitamin C and K.

Carrots. Carrots are full of nourishing properties for eyes, hair and skin. They are the best source of pro-vitamin and A carotenes. Known for improving night vision, carrots are rich in Vitamin C, Vitamin A which helps in regulating healthy blood sugar levels - good for the heart.

Asparagus. Again, an excellent food for pregnant women, asparagus is full of fiber, folate and Vitamin B6 qualities which help in maximizing heart’s health. These long veggie sticks are also pretty low in sodium and high in potassium content, which makes them ideal for the healthy working of our large intestine.

Sweet Potatoes. Grown under earth, sweet potatoes are full of ant-defending qualities as they are rich in manganese, Vitamin A and Vitamin C. Good for our digestive system, they are full of iron and fiber which helps in giving us good amounts of energy.

Eggplants. Eggplants have a unique antioxidant in them like nasunin (a complex compound which defends your brain cells against damage). Many studies have proved that they are good for lessening your risk of stroke and dementia as they are packed with fiber and potassium. The best quality about eggplants is that they are pretty low in calories, thus they have a positive effect on one’s heart health.

Bell Peppers. Whichever colour of bell peppers you may go for – red, orange or yellow- they are full of heart-healthy properties because of folic acid and lycopene present in them. Again, they have been substantially proved to lower your risk again cancer too.

Spinach. Popeye the sailor was quite right when crediting his muscle power to this green leafy vegetable. It is believed that spinach contains around 13 flavonoid compounds which keep us away from cancer, heart diseases and osteoporosis.

Onions. Including onions in your daily food intake, gives your body's immunity levels a royal boost. They are full of peptide known as GPCS which helps in keeping your body’s calcium level under control. Packed with Vitamin C and folate, onions promote good cardiovascular and gastrointestinal health.

6 Ways To Gain Weight:

Most of us envy people who are thin; they can eat all they want, fit into any outfit, and they are (or at least seem to be) confident about themselves. But are they really happy with their bodies? And, more importantly, are they happy with their health status? Being thin brings with it health problems like anemia, a weak immune system, and later in life - even fertility issues while trying to conceive, not to mention fragile bones. Again, a healthy BMI (Body Mass Index) is a good measure of whether you weigh too little or too much. If you're looking to gain weight - the healthy way - read our 6 step healthy weight gain guide.

Healthy diet: You may take dietary supplement, but you need a balanced diet more. You need the right amount of protein, carbs and fats. Help yourself to nuts and dairy products. Protein is the key for muscle building; this will help you gain weight.

Increase liquid intake: If you want to gain weight, you need to build an appetite; and while this might be a tad non-traditional, you can rely on wine as a hunger stimulant. A small glass of wine before your evening meal will help you appreciate your food a whole lot more. Also, avoid drinking water before meals and in between meals, you don’t want to ruin your appetite.

Eat less: If you eat in between meals, cut it out. They say you should eat three large meals or five to six small meals in a day. Eating less is more. Choose food with nutritional calories and increase intake of starchy foods like potatoes.Remember, the more junk food you eat, the more you deprive your body of healthy nutrients. A thin person who gorges on junk food will suffer the same unhealthy consequences as an obese person with poor eating habits.
Indulge the right way: Often times, well meaning folks will tell you to eat cakes and other sugar-heavy desserts in order to help you gain weight. While normally this strategy works perfectly for some, for others it could just lead to visceral fat - a state of being skinny fat. Skinny fat essentially means that a person appears skinny on the outside, but has fat accumulated in the wrong places (around vital organs) on the inside. Besides, sugar-heavy foods deplete your body of whatever little nutrients it might be getting from other foods.

To indulge the right way, you will still need to eat healthy desserts and healthy food. But the good news is that you can eat this with a calorie excess, i.e., you can consume more than you need - this helps build body mass and lead to weight gain.

Exercise: If you're indulging where food's concerned, beware of the inevitable skinny person's paunch. No matter what your skinny status, as you grow older, you will develop an unsightly paunch. To avoid this, you must endeavour to maintain a toned body. For this, exercise is essential. Participate in a balanced mix of cardio, weight training, and flexibility exercises every day.
Quit smoking: The more you smoke, the higher the chances that you will not feel hungry. Why? Because cigarettes have a component that suppresses your appetite. Each puff of smoke, results in suppression of hunger.

Here again, there are no absolutes. There are as many overweight smokers in the world, as there are underweight smokers. But an important test to conduct is your own body's reaction to smoking. Maintain a smoking and food log to understand how your body responds to smoking, when hungry. The results could finally get you to quit.

8 Pillars Of Prosperity:

You can’t rely on trickery or deception to do good business.

Prosperity rests upon a moral foundation. It is popularly supposed to rest upon an immoral foundation — that is, upon trickery, sharp practice, deception and greed. One commonly hears even an otherwise intelligent man declare that “No man can be successful in business unless he is dishonest,” thus regarding business prosperity, a good thing, as the effect of dishonesty, a bad thing.

Such a statement is superficial and thoughtless, and reveals a total lack of knowledge of moral causation, as well as a very limited grasp of the facts of life. It is as though one should…erect a brick house on a quagmire — impossible in the natural order of causation, and therefore not to be attempted.

The spiritual or moral order of causation is not different in principle, but only in nature. The same law obtains in things unseen — in thoughts and deeds — as in things seen, in natural phenomena. We see the processes in natural objects, and act in accordance with them, but not seeing the spiritual processes, we imagine that they do not obtain, and so we don’t act in harmony with them...

A house or a temple/church/mosque built by man is a…complicated structure, it is erected in accordance with those mathematical principles which are everywhere evidenced in nature. And here is seen how man, in material things, obeys universal principles. He never attempts to put up a building in defiance of geometrical proportions, for he knows that such a building would be unsafe….

In mind as in matter, in thoughts as in things, in deeds as in natural processes, there is a fixed foundation of law which, if consciously or ignorantly ignored, leads to disaster and defeat.

In matter, this law is presented as mathematical; in mind, it is perceived as moral. But the mathematical and the moral…are but two aspects of a united whole.… It is as impossible to live successfully apart from moral principles, as to build successfully while ignoring mathematical principles.... Business and all human enterprises are not exempt from the eternal order, but can only stand securely by the observance of fixed laws.

Prosperity, to be stable and enduring, must rest on a solid foundation of moral principle, and be supported by the adamantine pillars of sterling character and moral worth.… The permanently prosperous men in any community are not its tricksters and deceivers, but its reliable and upright men....

Men speak of “building up a business,” and, indeed, a business is as much a building as is a brick house or a stone church, albeit the process of building is a mental one. Prosperity, like a house, is a roof over a man’s head, affording him protection and comfort. A roof presupposes a support, and a support necessitates a foundation.

The roof of prosperity, then, is supported by the following eight pillars which are cemented in a foundation of moral consistency: Energy, economy, integrity, system, sympathy, sincerity, impartiality and self-reliance. A business built up on the faultless practice of all these principles would be as firm and enduring as to be invincible.

Getting it right!

my ex mother in law in exasperation once said to me.. why are you never wrong?.. I paused for a moment, thought to myself why would she have that impression.. and then it came to me.. I have always been in the habit of saying. "I don't know, or I am not sure if I don't know something" also in the habit of not opening my mouth unless i can validate what i say. and third.. if the spirit is telling me what to say It does not matter if someone thinks me wrong or not..I have never been proven wrong if I listen to spirit..

at the same time if someone does not agree with what i share thinking it opinion as opposed to truth I say.. That's ok.. thank you for sharing I will have to give what you say some more thought.. generally tho what happens is that I end up receiving the.. how did you know?

The only time when it appeared that I was not right was when someone was blatantly lying about something.. and guess what.! truth will always come out. Its all a part of being somewhat empathic, intuitive, whatever label you like to stick on it.

There are times when i would rather not be right about things. for sure i keep my mouth shut unless someones health and well being are at risk, the right thing to do then is to say something even if you get some really funny looks.

I did two healings today. I carry miracles in my pocket. this is my truth and I can validate it. In the case of working with spirit I do have a highly evolved sense of being right. I expect that when i ask for help to assist another on the path that what is needed will be granted. If this sounds egotistical i humbly beg your forgiveness. I am thankful for the gifts I carry. In the work i do I need to be right and I need to get it right. In this I am assured by spirit that the world becomes a better place for all of us.

The power of love

The power of love
It is the thoughts we have and how we think about ourselves that determines how powerful we are and how much of our potential we are capable of releasing. Therefore it is crucial that you think positive and good about yourself and in turn are doing good things for yourself. It is how we think, our ability to use the power of love that determines our health, happiness and prosperity. You can not achieve good health and will probably struggle with many problems if you do not use the power of love, love yourself deeply and actively uses the power of love in life. You can not live a happy life if you do not love yourself fully and accept yourself for who you are. from my book: You deserve the Best! chapter 4

BUDDHA IS AWAKE AND VICTORIOUS

HE IS AWAKE.
THE VICTORY IS HIS.

HE HAS CONQUERED THE WORLD.

He is defining buddhahood, or you can call it christhood; it is the same. Buddha and Christ are synonymous.

HE IS AWAKE. That is the most essential quality: he is no longer asleep, he is no longer dreaming. He has no thoughts, no memories, no imagination. He is utterly silent and alert. His silence is not a dead, cold silence; his silence is wakeful, warm, alive.

One Friday night Bob came home earlier than usual and surprised his attractive wife in bed with another man. Becoming enraged, he seized a pistol he kept hidden in his dresser and shot the lovers to death.
A next-door neighbor, Jim, was discussing the tragedy with some friends a few days later. Jim said, "Well, after all, it is not the worst thing that could have happened."
The others jumped on him. "What do you mean? Two people dead, and Bob may be about to be executed!"
Jim replied, "Well, I still say it could have been worse. If Bob had come home early on Thursday night, I would be dead!"

Man lives in such unconsciousness. He goes on doing things motivated by the unconscious. He is not master of his own soul. He does not know where these desires arise from; they simply possess him. And when he is possessed by a desire, he is utterly helpless.
The buddha is awake, awake to all that is happening in his being; so alert that nothing can take possession of him, so full of light that no darkness can enter into his own being. He lives in that light, he lives with that awareness. His every movement, his every act, comes out of this consciousness. Hence there is never any repentance in a buddha. He never looks back; there is no point. Each thing that he has done, he has done totally and perfectly.
You always have to look back, for the simple reason that you are always partial, fragmentary. Only a part of your being gets involved, and you do everything in such a way that you are not totally in it, never wholly in it. Later on you start thinking, "I should have done that," or "I should have done this," or "maybe a better way of doing it was possible." You start repenting, you start feeling guilty. Your actions are so incomplete, that's why there is this hang-up. When some action is done with your totality, when you are entirely in it, then once you are out of it, you are entirely out of it.

Remember this fundamental law: if you are totally into something, you can be totally out of it. If you are not totally in it you will remain involved in it even when the time is past; even when its days are gone you will remain involved in it. Some part of you will go on clinging to the past, and you will always feel miserable.

And Buddha says: It is only by awakening that one becomes victorious; not by conquering the world but by conquering one's unconsciousness.

Find your wakeup call

Find your wakeup call
Find the missing link to where your life starts
This how you unlock a self -wealth within your personal worth and value add
It’s strange how this happens and for all of us we have often had so many that we miss the point of where all wake up calls start which is where?
The point being that we so often undervalue or own life skills; experiences; and first -hand experience; not just something we saw in a lecture or on TV; but something very real and tangible.
The point being is that how often do we undervalue the broad perspective of our life experience; it is just as a kin to any doctorate in that this isn't theory, this works in real life; has helped many, but you don’t get any letters behind your name for it; you can’t charge exorbitant rates for this personal life theory, yet you end up helping people in real life terms to maximize their lives.
So many quietly go about their day doing this day in day out, I have given countless thanks to these un-faced people all my life, that one person who said the right thing at the right time which you then acted immediately on it with a fantastic outcome!
Synchronicity is fantastic at placing these needed perspectives together for life to value add in many ways; unfortunately we so often don’t give gratitude that this has actually taken place, simply as so often we are working from an unaware perspective of intuition.
Put simply we are not present; this really simply means that we have detuned many of our senses which collectively are linked to our intuitive consciousness, and how did we manage this?
Very easily; but most probable is that those about you as a child did not make use of them so you didn't use it and it fades away quickly, but what? Your empathic senses!
These senses allow you to interpret so many of the things going on in your own environment they also allow your soul and heart to work as one and not separately; now am I hitting a note that might be missing.
Yes the soul and heart are actually designed to work as one; use them separately and you have separate desires; join them together and you have one which is more attainable you have all the parts of your strength working for this desire to be attained; doesn't this make sense?
Now you have a point to use to find the real strength of what your intuitional strength is indicating instead to two different directions of yourself fighting to be attained.
Which is what?
Your life direction with a real strength of self-direction
THIS IS FINDING WHAT YOU ARE REALLY ASKING FOR!
These aren't my words but ones channeled
So when I say I channel I also mean I link conscious activations of understandings to conscious activations of energy; a different type of channeling but we are all here to contribute our bit of self-understanding aren’t we?
This is the underlying understanding that is

INCREASING OUR MEMORY, IMAGINATION AND INTENTIONAL THINKING

Due to our modern life’s daily demands an ancient knowledge comes to the rescue. We, human beings have always shared something that difficult our meaningful learning; our focused attention. We usually get distracted very easily; lately much more. In order to aid you in such matters I will share with you something very practical which nowadays is rarely used. To wear a hat shaped like a cone on top of our heads only three days and a half before each moon phase. Its color can be any one.
Because I have been able to remember some past lives there are in my total memory; the memory belonging to my master within I can express the following: Some very sacred and secret useful mystical principles have been spoiled through times.
It was during many centuries when people realized the great importance of improving their adult lives regarding performing a profession as well as their children’s correct education at school or as apprentices by wearing on very specific days of the month these peculiar hats.
It is like the saying: "Let's keep our fingers crossed" when we desire to see some positive results of our honest efforts and not as a magical formula that without doing enough efforts something miracle would happen. The same can be applied to the positive use of wearing a wizard’s hat. Also when we see depicted the comic scene applied to a student when he is wearing the DUNCE hat sitting alone in a corner.
Originally it was used to those students who were already very smart, but due to their lack of concentration couldn't retain important instruction. These teachers were using the pyramid principle. The inverted cone on one's head was with the purpose of remembering very complicated instructions, or something difficult for us to retain. My own private research through the years has cast some light about this. Currently science has discovered that our left nostril is attuned with high tides in spite how gar we are from a beach or coast. The right nose trill is attuned with low tides. These tides as you know are influenced by the moon; another good idea would be to meditate at night during our sacred solar-day keeping a journal start noticing what we experience.
I love to share my contributions with action people. People who trust new knowledge until it have been demonstrated. Ok, then let’s start using one of such homemade hats and use it on the day of the week on which we were born an also three days and a half before any of the moon phases, also by discovering which nostrils seems to be wider than the other, this has to do with the ocean tides, if your left nostril seems to be more opened than your right nostril it will indicate us that it is the appropriate time(three hour period of high tide) to spend some of our time with this cone hat on. It was in the seventies when there was a very strong interest in the power of pyramids. Well the cone shaped wizard hay follows the same esoteric principle. It would be an excellent idea if we do some of our mediations wearing our handmade domestic hat. Please try this exercise and keep me posted please. Best regards a modern-ancient shaman.
