[The following is supposedly an actual question given on a University of Washington chemistry mid-term. The answer by one student was so interesting that the professor shared it with colleagues, via the Internet, which is, of course, why we now can enjoy it as well.]
Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?
[Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle’s Law (gas cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some variant. One student, however, wrote the following:]
First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering Hell, let’s look at the different religions that exist in the world today. Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle’s Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added. This gives two possibilities:
1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.
2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.
So which is it? If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year that, “it will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you,” and take into account the fact that I slept with her last night, then number 2 must be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen over. The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over, it follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is therefore, extinct... leaving only Heaven—thereby proving the existence of a divine being. Which explains why, last night, Teresa kept shouting “Oh my God!
An engineer dies and reports to the pearly gates. St. Peter checks his dossier and says, “Ah, you’re an engineer—you’re in the wrong place.” So the engineer reports to the gates of hell and is let in. Pretty soon, the engineer gets dissatisfied with the comfort-level in hell and starts designing and building improvements. After a while, they’ve got air conditioning, escalators and various useful gizmos, and the engineer is a pretty popular guy.
One day God calls Satan up on the telephone and says, “So, how’s it going down there in hell?” Satan replies, “Hey, things are going great. We’ve got air conditioning and escalators, and there’s no telling what this engineer is going to come up with next.” God replies, “What??? You’ve got an engineer? That’s a mistake—he should never have gotten down there. Send him up here.” Satan says, “No way. I like having an engineer on the staff, and I’m keeping him.” God says, “Send him back up here or I’ll sue.”
Satan laughs uproariously and answers, “Yeah, right! And just where are YOU going to get a lawyer?”
When being tried by the Spirit of the Lord and by the lowly spirit of man, the joys of devotion are your best of friends.

When God is especially trying on your soul, the crown of life that is Jesus Christ shall repose on your battered brow.
All that is good and all that is a gift for mankind comes from the Father who nobody knows except for those whom He chooses to reveal Himself to.
As the first gifts of the Christ, be quick to hear the Word of Truth and be slow to react to the poison of worldly tongues and fists of rage.
When hearing the Word, always accompany the reception of God through the ears with acts that clearly proves the existence of our Lord in Heaven.
This is the Law of Liberty. To serve man with a consecrated heart of gold and to serve God with the flowers of devotion.

If you've tried to make this connection in the past and find you always hit a block, wall or some doubt that distracts you or completely stops you from feeling connected, take a deeply look and feel into what that really is. Bring this topic to the conversation table. Often whenever we have a certain blocked energy inside us, it's a cry for healing and fuel for a profound transformation in life. Anytime you hit a block or wall in life is good. For it simply means your mind/body is calling to become lighter and move beyond this heaviness inside. It's often the first baby steps in this great spiritual adventure that become the most revolutionary. The smallest adjustment to ones perception of reality can create a monumental change in the entire direction your life takes you.
By opening the mind to a small shift in perception, your heart can instantly open up and feel reconnected with something that we can only call The Absolute Divine. There is a very old Zen saying which goes like this..."the quieter you can become, the more you're able to hear."
By quieting the mind we automatically are falling deeper within ourselves and getting closer towards this divine source. You don't have to struggle inside or push far beyond the stars to create this connection. Establishing this divine relationship means you're willing to give up your "Lone Ranger" attitude in life, and accept the fact that you are never alone. You must admit that God has always been here, and always willing to give you instant access to profound states of love, empowerment, feelings of abundance and joy that are more amazing than you could ever imagine.
Anytime you are alone is the most powerful time to practice turning your attention inside and allowing this divinely honest conversation to unfold within. This highest conscious intelligence knows you better than you know yourself so you don't have to be embarrassed, guilty or shy about anything. It's already seen you before you were even naked. The God Source has already been listening to your plight from the very beginning, and can only respond with the most gentle, benevolent, infinitely loving and forgiving kindness, so you have nothing to lose but your grip on the ego/mind. Whenever you feel separate, alone and isolated, it is the ego/mind that is creating this illusion and this intimate conversation is most powerful way to break free from it.
Science has already proven the quantum field of energy around us is an "intelligent soup" that we cannot be separate from. Every thought and feeling passing through you is a free ticket to realizing this. The God Source knows what thoughts you need to wake up, and is constantly redirecting the experiences to you which will bring you home to your highest self. Don't judge your experience no matter how horrifying it may seem. There are no mistakes in this all-intelligent conscious soup; it always knows what's best for your soul's highest evolution. Your job is simply to be receptive, and allow yourself to receive the greatest wisdom and life direction you are needing. In time you'll find this divine conversation will offer the best guidance you could ever ask for, and you'll soon realize that you were never ever alone.
Ground these higher frequencies of awareness via one-pointed focus and action in 3-D reality!
We guide the mind with our God-given will, which allows us to consciously co-create and see in this world of form, that which we inherently know as truth. What the eyes cannot see, the mind has not yet begun to perceive.
As Above, So Below. As Within, So Without.
We co-create with Divinity, with our minds, hearts, with this universe all that we experience in this world of form. We align or misalign our Will. We walk in Oneness with All That Is and move through the earthly realm as One,or we choose not to. This is a choice that never ceases to pop-up in this realm of learning - to move with or against. To be or not to be.

Dear Ones, please make a huge concerted effort to stop watching T.V. It lulls you into an alpha trance-like sleep, guiding your mind in ways that are not productive and all while you are in a highly open and suggestible state of mind (very subconscious/subtle levels of conditioning happen via television). You are the only soul who has the power to guide your thoughts and mind. Take responsibility, don't simply tune out, choose to live. Don't watch TV, live, experience. Harness and consciously choose what you will allow your mind to focus upon. Choose your experiences wisely.
Watch the thought frequencies to which you are allowing yourselves to attune.Be ever vigilant. The idle mind is the Devil's playground, comes to mind. Devil, not as in some dark figure who lives beneath the earth, but as in our own shadow sides. The Devil, the energy that is held in such vibration, is that which we clear in our natures through living wisdom. It is the process of becoming the sharpened diamond - a pure reflection of the light. We are Light. This energy is indeed a "light-bearer" in that it allows space for us to see beyond any identification that we may have to our Spirits with this world of experience, this material reality. We are not our experiences.We must remain centered and act in accordance with our deepest knowing. In this sense we hold space for the movement that is happening in the now...let's serve in bringing this light to form. We are Spirit.
The fact that we choose to act in such ways - this is what makes these realities more readily available to a heightening numbers of souls. Our every choice affects, either aids or hinders our brothers and sisters that they may abide in such expanded realities...doing so ourselves is the gift and the blessing.
This is all about creating frameworks, something for the mind to perceive the energies of the earth, of our bodies and of our ways of living as they vibrate and raise into the realms of higher frequency living - frameworks create a form through which we can look and "see" where such realities may have since been invisible or obscured from vision here to fore.
In truth there are no frameworks.Frameworks are tools that we utilize as we learn in this world of form. Once the mind is awakened through such practice, the frameworks that served in opening the gate will have outgrown their service to us, however, they can be shared with others. Such frameworks, in fact, cease to exist as they were created in a limited realm; they too are story, part of the dream.Move forward.What IS, is all that exists.
As long as we abide in the earthly realms we will observe such frameworks on one level or another, whether personally or through others whose minds abide in such realities. We, however, do not have to act from within the confines of such limited frameworks. In fact, we must embody and continue to move past all growth edges. Eventually all frameworks dissolve in truth...remember though - they still appear to "exist" in certain vibrations of understanding/experiencing, therefore each souls experience is always valid on some level.
When and if we forget this truth for too long, this loving universe of ours will most surely serve in reminding us that these states do exist for many souls on the planet and that we can serve as bridges of light for such souls as they walk their paths from "story" and into the Light that they are.
Providing "new" frameworks so that the mind and eyes can see beyond that which is currently being focused upon and has been focused upon here to fore (collectively speaking), this is what helps us evolve as a group.
We "see" that which we attune to and focus upon. Become the horizon, move away from clinging to being one-point on the horizon.All That IS, is available to and through you.

What do you want your "story" to be? What "roles" do you seek to play in creation? How do you seek to serve through the medium that is your life?Do not look to your current reality as you reflect upon this question, cease from framing or comparing it to your current experience. You Are Free. What do you seek to learn, to embody? Be.This is your gift as a soul to our human family, to the universe. Share that which you Are, share your unique reflection of Divinity as an embodiment of the Divine in form.Shine baby shine!
Such blueprints and practices allow us to see beyond this world of form and more into All That Is as we expand in All That We Are. Such blueprints serve as windows to the Divine that is form and beyond form at the same time.
We are in human form in the now...but we are Divine, always.Ignorance is the mis-identification of the Spirit with the earthly. What are you learning? Look to your experiences - this will show you what you are in the process of creating in the now. If it is creating dissonance, move away. Feel the flow and move in that direction. Trust and follow the Divinity that is within to guide you every step of the way.
Our senses exist within a very narrow band of perception and there is much of reality that exists beyond what we can perceive. Dogs can smell and hear far beyond what we can experience and thus live in a sensory world we cannot relate too. Some birds can see in the ultra-violet range of light and see the world in a very different way then we could every comprehend. While we have some tools that can bring things other aspects of reality into a form we can absorb it is still very different than the direct reality these creatures can experience. I wonder how would our world and culture would be different if we had some of these broader senses. What what intrigues me the most is that even if we could experience much more it would still be only a fraction of the world around us.
While it seems that we experience reality like a video camera the truth is far from this illusion. Of the narrow band of senses we can absorb the various bits of information, which is believe to be about 200 billion per second, are broken down into primary forms so that our brains can process them. Our various senses simply bring in information into our brains where it is broken down into a multitude of parts such as size, space, distance, color and so on and is then also filtered through our visual memories to match what we've experienced in the past. In other words we really are hardwired to see what we expect to see. Strangely, this does not happen all at the same speed but somehow our brains create the illusion of consistency that really does not exist. Finally, everything we do experience is filtered again through our ego, expectations, presumptions, biases and beliefs all within a fraction of a second... every second.
Too me what is even more amazing is that everything we experience is NOT external from our bodies, as it seems, but ALL within the synapses of our brains. Lastly, after all of this is processed our brains project the illusion of 'out' there when in reality there really is only 'in' here. So to highlight a key point of this is that while we feel like we 'see' with our eyes this is not true. We see with our minds and the illusion is created that we see with out eyes.
Going even further we can only see clearly a small focal point in space and the rest is blurry. Our eyes constantly move in little micro movements that create the illusion of a clear image but for a small point of focus everything else is blurry. Even further... the fractions of a second your eyes moves you are basically blind which is a fact that magicians use regularly.
Now to show you how our experiences, bias, beliefs and more color our view imagine if we took a HDTV back a thousand years and showed the people from then a movie. It would blow their minds and they would not see it as a simple movie but rather something far more esoteric and bizarre since they would have no frame of reference to relate too it. They would create stories about it, turn it into a god or a demon but no matter what they they would struggle with a way to understand what it was that they were experiencing. They would instantly try to put it into words and concepts that they already have established instead of incorporating the new concepts and truth that was right in front of them. Too note we have the same brain today, as they did then, and I suspect we suffer from the same degree of delusions of the truth that surrounds us now.
Something to ponder that there could very well be things that exist right in front of our eyes that we cannot see as they actually are and even though we are so smart and can see so clearly we could well still be blind. No doubt there is literally more going on with our world then meets the eye. What is it, where is it and how do we create the 'capacity' to absorb it in its true form and not turn it into what we want it to be, or something we can conceive, and thus losing the truth in the process.
So what is my point? Well.. with everything being so filtered, processed and colored by our brains physical components but also our expectations, biases, beliefs and so much more how can we really know that anything about our world that we perceive is actually true or real? A window into this realm has been found by various cultures throughout the world via meditation and psychotropic mind altering drugs. Some people who had no interest in seeking truth have become seekers once they discovered how much more is 'out' there which is ironic since everything is really 'in' here. Through meditation and some of these psychoactive drugs much of these filers can be bypassed and short circuited with only your thoughts, beliefs and biases that may still blind you. Nevertheless, in so many ways you really can see more with your eyes closed then with them wide open.
Each moment we are presented with choice. Choose wisely, Dear Ones. We must not allow our minds to wander in the muck, not even for a second. Creation is always direct, though this is much more perceptible to our minds as a collective during this time. Watch your thoughts and act in accordance with only that which you seek to embody.
Our minds are expanding, awakening. Our eyes will begin to see beyond that which we have "collectively deemed" as reality here to fore. There is no such thing as psychic or supernatural to the awakened mind, there is seeing that which IS. Reality is subjective - it includes many angles and perspectives. Truth is One, Eternal and Objective. Truth is changeless; it is beyond matter, beyond mind, beyond experience.
These truths can and will be directly perceived as we collectively begin to loosen our mental grasping on that which we have learned up to this point. To see what indeed is, we must first begin the process of loosening our minds attachment to the current stories, concepts, themes and ideas that we have held as a collective over the past thousands of years. This clarity of focus happens as we whole-heartedly choose to move in accordance with what IS. No like or dislike, no more causing undue dissonance due to habits in mind, thought and action, we must teach our minds and bodies the art of walking in pure acceptance.
We teach ourselves the truths that are laden in this realm of experiencing, we walk in Grace, in acceptance of all that is in this wonderful realm of learning. We teach ourselves through testing it out - through trial and error, through practice. We learn Who We Are and We take responsibility for the gift that is our lives by consciously creating as we walk through this realm of learning. We understand our "place" in creation, as creation.
Clothing words in form, threading translucent tapestries of light and infusing them with the transcendent vibration of wisdom that can be awakened via the experiences of the earthly is an active process of weaving frameworks for higher consciousness. Whether written or spoken, such action is akin to creating bridges for heightened energies by which they can move through and into this world of form.
Choose your words wisely, and most importantly, actively practice that which you share - be the change.Our bodies are the vehicles through which this energy moves. This is not new, such awareness. It is only that such truths are more readily perceptible to a greater number of souls on the planet during this time - the Age of Enlightenment.
What a wonderful time to be alive!!!
We, each and every one of us, have the choice to create and share living perspective that serves in awakening the minds of those who "have eyes to see," those whose daily lives involve choosing to uplift and attune to the higher realities laden in existence in and beyond this world of form. This message is for all souls who diligently practice and seek to expand and abide in such truth, and it is for all souls who actively abide in Unity through their every action, moving in deep internal service of the truth, We Are One.
It is through our action or non-action, in some cases, that we hold space for those who abide in Unity, and we serve in creating windows for those who seek to abide in this truth of Oneness.
You are the light, it only appears that you are walking in this or that direction in this realm of experiencing. This appears so, due to the "roles" that we choose to play in creation and the learned illusion that is the judgment that we may or may not have of such roles as higher or lower.
We play, act - live via action, and choose roles based upon what our souls are learning. We are not our roles, We Are Souls.Teach yourself to look beyond the personalities of others, to move through the world in the state that is beyond, "you-me" consciousness. Train your mind to see the "Window of Divinity" that is present just beyond the personality in all, and you will begin to see this world of creation much more clearly.Note: This is an active lifetime practice.

Deva means divine and gupta means secret – divine secret. And the divine secret is that there is no secret in it! The divine secret is the open secret. It is very obvious – it is not far away, it is not distant. It is close-by, it is within, it is you... it is your very core. We go on missing god because we go on looking far away. We are searching for god with a telescope, hence we go on missing. A telescope is good to see things which are far away, but if you start looking for things through the telescope which are not far away, which are very close by, you will miss them... and god is the closest.
Even to look at god with open eyes is to miss, because open eyes look far away... even an inch away is far away. That is why in deep prayer or in deep meditation eyes are bound to close themselves.
God can be seen only with closed eyes: he is so close by – even open eyes will take you far away. He is just in the heart beat. This is the secret: don’t look far away, don’t go after the distant, search in the close-by, look within! And god has always been there – it is a miracle that we miss him! To find god is a simple thing – to miss him is a miracle. To find god is very easy – to miss him is a very complex phenomenon. It is simply incredible how we go on missing him, because we live in him, we are born in him, we breathe in him, we die in him. We are just like fish and he is just like the ocean – but it is said that the fish goes on missing the ocean. It is so close. How can you see it?
The fish comes to know about the ocean only when she is caught and thrown out of the ocean, taken out of the ocean. Then she recognises, then only does she become aware of what she has lost. We can take a fish out of the ocean – how can we take a man out of god ? There is no way because there is no shore to it – god is a shoreless ocean. There is no place outside him so we can never fall out of him. To understand this is to understand the greatest secret. Just a simple, loving heart is needed. It is not a question of great intellectual understanding, no! – just a feeling heart is needed. God is known through feeling: it is not an intellectual work – it is intuitive. So start looking within-wards, mm?... and sannyas is the beginning of the journey within-wards.
