Whatever Happened To Chunky?

As we are all aware, last year saw the disappearance of our friend and fellow conspiracy 'researcher' Chunky. We do not have a clear idea of the exact date of Chunky's disappearance.

WHY? Good question. Thank you for asking.

Because, there is absolutely no trace of Chunky's existence on the boards of this forum.

Did Chunky never exist? Is this some sort of MASS HALLUCINATION!!!???

Well, we'll leave the for each of you to decide.

Here's what we do know... or think we know:

1. Chunky worked for Nestles on their chocolate assembly line. (Which chocolate bars he helped to assemble is not known at this time).
2. Chunky was an outspoken union member. He'd frequently argue with the likes of:
a. Cogburn;
b. FancyFree;
c. Witch Hunt;
d. Six; and,
e. ImaloserImaloserImaloser
about the pros and cons of unions. BE and egg were known to be two of his biggest allies when discussing union issues on shillamkon.
3. Chunky loved raisins (especially from California) and peanuts.
4. While Chunky was good for a laugh, he was a bit of a square.
5. There is no trace of Chunky left here. His posts are gone, his account is gone and, ACCORDING TO mojo, there is no trace of a member named 'Chunky' in the database.... No trace.... how strange, wouldn't you agree?
6. Only shillshillshillshillshill and mojo had admin capabilities to erase member posts around the time of Chunky's disappearance - Again, ACCORDING TO mojo.
7. Some members say they now have no memory of a member named Chunky - again, mojo......
7. What isn't widely known is that Chunky had met a member here before his strange disappearance:
a. Jedi - Jedi and Chunky met once - having a lot in common - however, after a night full of drinking and being turned down by unpaid women, Jedi tried to take a bite out of Chunky. His excuse, 'He smelled so good!' I've tried to contact Jedi regarding Chunky's disappearance but, apparently, Jedi's missing, too.....

That's all the VETTED info I have at this time. When more information comes forward, please leave it here in this thread. I'd just like to make everyone aware of Jedi and mojo's long term feud, as Jedi cannot be found either.

Thank you,
egg

That's ONE loyal dog or what?

I'm not a dog person, but I can still appreciate all the beautiful and endearing qualities they have.

And one of those qualities being: Loyalty <3

This next story (get the kleenex ready) is right up the alley where 'sad' is concerned.

Even the parish priest didn't have the heart to kick the dog out during service :(

A loyal dog whose owner died late last year has apparently been showing up for Mass every day for the last two months at the church where the funeral was held.

Tommy, a 7-year-old German shepherd, used to accompany his owner, Maria Margherita Lochi, to services at Santa Maria Assunta church in San Donaci, Italy, according to the Daily Mail, and was allowed to sit at her feet.

After Lochi died, the dog "joined mourners at her funeral service" according to locals and "followed after Maria's coffin" as it was carried into the church.

Tommy, a stray who was adopted by Lochi, has been showing up "when the bell rings out to mark the beginning of services" ever since.

"He's there every time I celebrate mass and is very well behaved," Father Donato Panna told the paper. "He doesn't make a sound."

None of the other parishioners has complained, Panna said, and villagers give the dog food and water and allow him to sleep nearby.

"I've not heard one bark from him in all the time he has been coming in," Panna added. "He waits patiently by the side of the altar and just sits there quietly. I didn't have the heart to throw him out—I've just recently lost my own dog, so I leave him there until Mass finishes and then I let him out."

Examples of this type of extreme canine loyalty are incredibly common.

In 2011, a fallen Navy SEAL's Labrador retriever lay down next to his owner's casket at a funeral service in Rockford, Iowa, refusing to leave.

The heart-wrenching photo of the scene, taken by the SEAL's cousin and posted to Facebook, soon went viral.

And on Tuesday, a 60-year-old man's dog watched and waited for 30 minutes for the fire department to rescue his owner, who had fallen through thin ice into the freezing waters of the Colorado River:

Nearby hunters witnessed the accident and called 911. But while they waited for help, the man's dog refused to leave the scene. Like a worried relative in the waiting room, the dog paced back and forth, trying to reach the man, who repeatedly waved the dog off, fearing for its safety.

"This is simply who dogs are," Dr. Karen Overall, an animal behavior expert, told Yahoo! Shine. "We have had a close, cognitive, emotional and working relationship with dogs for tens of thousands of years, and we have both been changed by that history. Dogs are heroic to us because they live up to that relationship."

Canine loyalty extends beyond humans.

Last year, a male pit bull refused to leave the side of a female pit bull who had been dead on the side of a road in Phoenix. According to local news reports, the male pit bull stayed with her for more than 14 hours.

The Department of Homeland Security has been forced to release a list of keywords and phrases it uses to monitor social networking sites and online media for signs of terrorist or other threats against the U.S.

The intriguing the list includes obvious choices such as 'attack', 'Al Qaeda', 'terrorism' and 'dirty bomb' alongside dozens of seemingly innocent words like 'pork', 'cloud', 'team' and 'Mexico'.

Things You Didn't Know About 2013 - IYQ

2013 has been declared by the United Nations to be the

International Year of Quinoa.

Sorry artichoke and cucumber lovers.

Art Bell Speaks !!! WOW

Art Bell Speaks!

Well, he actually posted a small message at the link on January 10th 2013:

Hi All,

I do not wish to string anybody along, stay tuned means just that. Until I was free in terms of non compete there was no
real way I could be on the air anywhere. Premiere has offered me a slot anytime I wish.....I do not wish.

Now that I can indeed return if I wish there is the matter of a venue, I have some offers I am thinking about but have not
decided on anything as of yet. There was a time that I did not want to compete with Coast because I had no wish to destroy
what I built, Premiere has almost managed to change my mind about that.

Doing a show means devoting your life to it, not just "phoning it in", examples of that can be heard nightly. So a decision to
proceed will have to be done right or not at all. This means the creative freedom is first along with the venue.

While doing Coast at one point, instead of taking more money I opted for a restriction on the number of commercial minutes,
a dumb move because as soon as I was gone they came back PLUS. I do what I do because I love it, not for the money.

So, I just now have come to the point that I CAN do something, if I will or not depends on the above. I hope this helps some
of you understand the process. I would rather do nothing than something half-assed. ~Art
